He pulls me to him still
his spirit like a magnet
Wrapping me in his arms
Draping his love all around me
Those eyes telling a thousand stories
those lips offering a million kisses
each one a blessing, a treasure
Holding me steady as we watch our baby grow
My belly swollen and wonderful
Knowing him is my biggest achievement
Loving him is my life

ah, so lovely. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
Thank you so much for commenting. 🙂 I remember writing another around that time, but made the fatal mistake of scribbling on a random piece of paper instead of in my little book, stuffed it in my handbag (must have been out when I wrote it) and you guessed it … somehow it must have fallen out. I was so gutted (still am) that my precious words (precious to me, you understand) might have fallen into the hands of some stranger … think I prefer to imagine they were washed away down a drain 😦 So personal and so lost!!

Hello, I have submitted a poem 🙂 I think I understand the rules properly (although have assumed my submission indicates agreement as I couldn’t see where to put that?) and will embark on the 18 over the next week. Thank you again for your encouragement x
Love the name of your blog! Its name + the first entry I’ve read + the comment you made above = all knitted together well to reflect the lessons learned!
Life does indeed shape and mold us … we should all look back with gratitude and joy for those experiences! Thank you for sharing ~becca
Thank you for your lovely, positive response! I’m pleased you like the blog name; it took a lot of thought (I didn’t have the courage to just use my name!). Yes, I’ve had a difficult past, and I had to think very hard about what to write in that comment before posting it. It’s safe to say I’ve reached a point in my life where I accept everything that’s happened thus far and am learning to live contentedly. I believe everything happens for a reason, and I am extremely lucky and blessed with all the love I have in my life. I am still finding out who I am, but now I live for myself and my loved ones 🙂 I will look at your blog this weekend. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. 🙂
sweet.
bless both of you.
🙂
Thank you so much. Life is very different now, but I am content and happy, and was very much in love then. Life shapes and moulds us, as I always try to remember. 🙂
